Major Calamine Lotion is a calamine topical suspension USP formulated as a skin protectant to help dry the oozing and weeping associated with poison ivy, oak, and sumac, featuring active ingredients calamine 8% and zinc oxide 8% in a convenient liquid form that should be shaken well before use and applied as needed, with inactive ingredients including bentonite magma, calcium hydroxide, glycerin, and purified water, and intended for external use only with directions and warnings provided on the label including avoiding contact with eyes, discontinuing use if irritation persists, and storing at controlled room temperature between 59–86°F, packaged in a 6 fluid ounce (177 milliliter) bottle and distributed by Major Pharmaceuticals, Livonia, MI 48152, NDC 0904-2533-21.
