Midnight Blue Popcorn Kernels - Colored Gourmet Popcorn Kernels - Dell Cove Spices, 5 lb

I've made popcorn for decades. So while I know and expect 'hulless' popcorn will have have more unpoped kernels than hulled popcore this product only has approximately a 50% full bloom pop rate. Is all this normal for this popcorn? Maybe, I don't have a lot of experience with hulless corn as it's a treat I don't buy very often, but if I'd know this I would not have purchased this product. Nor is it that the kernel don't 'pop' they do but without much to show and are unsafe to eat unless you have free dental care and like shots and drilling. In a typical batch of popcorn the kernels will all bloom within a short time. This popcorn drags on and on for a long time with no popping peak. I tried multiple methods and temperatures of making this popcorn with no desirable difference. I don't plan to order this again and give it 3/5 stars since that's about how much popcorn actually popped :) P.S. Not sure how the kernel rating is to work. Do you 5 stars when there's lots of kernels or when kernels do well turning to popcorn? I'm assuming the lower rating for "kernels" the more kernels there are - somewhat unclear.

I expected the bags to be much bigger and don't pop good in a hot air popper. Didn't come with any instructions.
