Their 4-ply gauze quickly absorbs fluids around the surgical field for better visibility and helps surgeons readily apply pressure to stop heavy bleeding. Dual blue barium sulfate strands are attached to the moisture-retentive pads for easy detection under X-ray equipment. Our 100% cotton laparotomy sponges undergo a vacuum de-linting process that ensures problem-free use by minimizing loose threads and lint. Each sterile sponge measures 18 inches x 18 inches.
