I used to frequent a local Thai restaurant, which went out of business, several years ago. Their yellow curry chicken, was my favorite dish. This product mimics the flavor of that authentic Thai yellow curry, so I can now enjoy it at home! It's convenient, because I'm able to mix a small portion with water (this is a concentrate/paste), whenever I want a single meal for myself...then, refrigerate the rest, for another time. (You can use this with or without meat, adding veggies, if you prefer vegan--I've tried it both ways--YUMMY!) The price is GREAT, at only around 5 dollars per pack, for about 4-5 small servings (you can also mix it with coconut milk, instead of thinning it with water, to add an even more authentic taste!). I order/purchase these curry sauce pouches, whenever I run low on my supply. (BTW--The spice level is very mild, so you can either leave it as-is, or put your own extra spices into it, if you'd like more zing.) The curry sauce has a very good flavor, and is versatile- I have used it as a sauce to serve with chicken, rice, and vegetables,. It's also been an excellent base to add flavor to my copycat version of Panera's Thai chicken soup, along with chicken broth and a can of coconut cream. Yum!
