Beauty, (Paperback)

I used to read this book to my 2nd graders at the end of every school year. (It's a bit difficult for an 8-year-old to read alone.) I bought this copy as a gift for the grandson of a friend of mine who likes to read. When I would read this to my students, we would all cry at the end. It was, for most of them, a realization that a book could actually make them cry. One class loved it so much that we wrote letters to Oprah trying to convince her to make the book into a movie. If you've got a kiddo who loves to read, get this book for him/her. And if you've got a kiddo who likes you to read to him/her, get this book.
