This thing is relatively quiet, smooth operating and feels durable. I was able to breathe a lot better and I noticed I did not have so many headaches. Nice unit; perfect size for my 15 x 10 bedroom. Works right out of the box; comes complete with the filter already installed. Mine sits on the top corner of my chest, but it's a good size for the floor. It runs very quietly on the low and medium settings, but I run mine on the high setting for maximum effect, which is noisier, but not bad. When purchasing replacement filters, be sure to get the F2 size; I ordered a pair of them on walmart.com to get the free shipping, and so I should be good for the next year and a half or so. I'm planning to eventually buy either two more of this medium size unit, or one of the large model, for my family room.
