I'm not sure what my boyfriend does with laundry baskets but every single handle had cracked of the ones we had at home. This was an easy way to buy several at one time for a decent price. The laundry baskets arrived timely and seemed to be a bit less flimsy than the ones we had at home, which is a benefit. Maybe these ones will last longer than a year! these are heavy duty large baskets with comfort grip handles. they are arched i guess to ride your hip so they dont stack into other brands of baskets. they hold a large load of laundry well and dont feel flimsy
