Lid doesn't seal

I didn't use this item for a couple of months, but when I did I found that the lid does not create a seal AT ALL. I ended up with coffee all the way down my front and then got to walk around at work with a huge brown stain on my sweater. It's a cute design but not useful as a travel mug.
