Well, I love the idea of a solid metal lid for ball-mason jars and have many of the white plastic ones which I really like. I recently bought the half-gallon sized jars and wanted to try these lids. They are sturdy and have a liner in them and I like them fine. However they are a tiny bit smaller in diameter than the plastic ones and I have a harder time putting these lids on my jars compared to the plastic ones. But once they are on ther it's great. Just a small annoyance for me. I will put these lids on things I don't open as often.

FALSE dvertisement by the seller, we wanted mason JARS, but they only send us the LIDS, lids alone are useless for canning foods, Wlamart should be doing a better job for screening out this type of FALSe ads for consumers, the as of today, no refund process was being offerered :(
