Doesn't look "new", but it still works okay

The product is supposed to be new, but a closer look as I unwrapped it indicates this was probably used, returned and resold. It's not a big deal, though, as the vacuum head works and it only has what appear to be superficial scratches all over bottom surface. See photos. One concern I have is the round seal: it looks really sloppy and could be a problem in the future. Time will tell. If sand leaks out of it, I'll know the seal was defective.
