Very primitive appeal with drops of misplaced dye or smudges from the artists hands as he pressed his blocks to the fabric, forever leaving his trace. It does not get any closer to "handcraft" than this. Please note that print and dye imperfections are not to be considered defects but rather primitive characteristics associated to the art of hand block printing. Made of 100% cotton and measures approximately 60 x 60 inches. They are color fast and can be machine washed separately on cool/gentle and tumble dried. Hand block printing on textiles refers to the technique by which carved wooden blocks dipped in dye are hand pressed along a length of cloth to create a repeated pattern.
