better for another body shape?

I normally don't give out my height or weight but for the sake of this I will.. I'm 5'6 and 193lbs. Apple body shape. I really wanted to like this swimsuit. It looks really big when you look at it. the fabric is very soft, cooling, and stretchy though. Feels like your skin. Except for the straps, they dig in at the shoulders a little. Also the v-neck (maybe my body shape too) makes the back open a little wider than it looks on the model. Looks like a lifeguard suit with a bit more style. I got a XL and if it weren't for the issues it would have fit great.
