I was very surprised how small this was! I do not remember it being called "mini' in the original listing. I do remember it saying 22lbs and I think it would be very hard to put 22 lbs on this scale unless perhaps it was a solid chunk of gold. Most of the items I weigh should fit on this and there is a dish that fits on it also if you weigh something a bit bigger .
