Not for me.

Maybe it's user error, but I couldn't get the hang of it. From what I read. a nostepinne often has a groove at the end to secure the end of the yarn in while winding, but the groove on this is really shallow; others I saw online looked deeper. I gave up and ordered and electric yarn winder and swift.
