Galvanite Series cabinets are fabricated from galvannealed sheet steel which has a zinc-iron alloy coating that is applied at the mill providing protection against high-humidity and moist environments. This coating also prevents corrosion from spreading when the pain and/or coating is scratched away.

Extra Heavy-Duty cabinets are fabricated from 14 gauge steel which is 25% thicker than 16 gauge providing MAXIMUM durability. Cabinets shall be DuraTough™ Heavy-Duty Classic Series All-Welded Cabinets as manufactured by Hallowell or approved equal. All cabinets shall be factory-assembled, of all MIG welded construction. Assembly of cabinet bodies by means of bolts, screws, or rivets will not be permitted.

Sheet Steel - All sheet steel used for fabrication shall be prime cold rolled sheet steel. Extra Heavy-Duty Classic Series All-Welded Cabinets shall be constructed 14 gauge cold rolled sheet steel except as noted.

Finishing - All cabinets to be cleaned and coated after fabrication with a seven stage zinc/iron phosphate solution to inhibit corrosion, followed by a coat of high grade custom blend powder electrostatically sprayed and baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 20 minutes to provide a tough durable finish. Color to be #738 Charcoal.

Cabinet Doors - Left and right doors shall be fabricated from single sheet with single bends at top and bottom and double bends at vertical sides. Doors shall include a 3" wide 18 gauge full height channel door stiffener MIG welded to the hinge side of the door as well as to the top and bottom door return bends and spot welded to the inside of door face to form a rigid torque free box reinforcement for the door.
