Key item features

Limited vinyl LP pressing of this 1996 album. The Refreshments' Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy was their first major label release and features their best known single, "Banditos." Many of the songs are re-recordings from their previous indie effort, Wheelie, which saw a very limited release. The album was extremely well-received by critics and audiences alike. Cutting a world tour short, the band were thrown in the studio to quickly follow-up it up with another album in 1997. Unhappy with their situation, the band left Mercury Records and after a line-up shuffle, renamed themselves Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers. They have continued to record and tour under that name since 1998.

The Refreshments - Fizzy Fuzzy Big

The album is great, and WalMart delivered the goods at a great price. The problem appeared when I got the album home and unwrapped it for inspection. Like I said, WalMart delivered the album in good condition at a great price, but when I drew the vinyl disc out out of it's sleeve I immediately saw a scratch across track 3, "Down Together", on side 1. I played the scratched track and there was a little bit of popping at the beginning and the end of the track. There was also a loud pop at the beginning of side 1, which showed no scratch at all. The sound quality is not the greatest, but this is a great album, so it's worth putting up with a few problem spots. I guess if you want something closer to perfection, get the cd for $4.99. I've been around vinyl LP's my whole life, so these issues are no surprise, but I never had a new album arrive scratched. It didn't skip, so I guess I'll keep it.
