Key item features

  • FULLY SUBMERSIBLE AQUARIUM HEATER: The 500W Warm Tone LED Aquarium Heater easily maintains healthy water temperature, and can be set anywhere between 61 ℉ and 90 ℉, by using the precise adjustment dial. The 500W model works great for 80 – 200 gallon fish tanks.
  • LED DISPLAY: With an easy to read LED display, our Warm Tone Aquarium Heaters accurately show the water temperature, allowing you to monitor and adjust it as needed.
  • ADDITIONAL FEATURES: In addition to being composed of high quality quartz tube and electrical components for maximum safety and durability, these fully submersible aquarium heaters can be placed either horizontally or vertically.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Do not operate heater outside of aquarium, and never submerse a hot heater into an aquarium – only submerse a cool heater. After placing the heater into your aquarium, wait 15 minutes before turning on. This allows the thermostat to adjust itself to water temperature.

Works Great!

The heater works great! I like that it shows the temperature setting and that it heats a larger aquarium (120 gallons) within a few hours. The temperature displayed on the heater is within one degree of the thermometer within the aquarium, so it's accurate. I wish I had found this product when I first purchased my aquarium.

Can't beat the Name Brands

Learned the hard way. After purchasing a no name heater, that seemed to have all the bells and whistles, I was away from my aquarium for a couple days, and ended up boiling 3 or 4 fish. Just because a company shows some technology, there's no guarantee they will work. It lasted 6 months. The previous one did the opposite and didn't heat at all. The second was a warranty replacement. I have had Penn plax heaters before without any issues. I just don't remember them having this high a wattage available. Very happy so far, and it is keeping the temperature very stable. Will look into a spare for the future.
