There are two reasons for this:
1. The selected size is incorrect for your dog.
2. It is normal that most dogs resist wearing muzzles. Please do the necessary training when putting on the muzzle for your dog for the first time.
Why does my dog tear the muzzle?
Dogs may use the muzzle as a toy or as a restraint tool for their freedom. However, muzzles only suppress bad behavior and don't solve the underlying issues. If your dog is aggressive, you should address these behaviors with obedience training.
How do you get a dog used to wearing a muzzle?
Once your dog sticks their nose into the muzzle, wait a couple of seconds before giving them the treat. After your dog knows how to stick their nose in the muzzle, start adding a verbal command like "muzzle" every time you want them to wear muzzle.
Is the muzzle helpful to stop barking?
No, it is the definite answer to the question “does a muzzle stop a dog from barking”, but it can stop your dog from biting and chewing. To stop a barking dog, you need to train the dog and get to the source of the barking, not to muzzle them.
