They thought of everything

This is hands down THE portable knife sharpener to own. It's ideal for all the reasons, but especially for Bush Crafting, this is the best. - Feels sturdy and balanced in the hand - Looks premium - The diamonds are monocrystaline (durable and won't wear out with care) Mine has very small spots of missing diamond that are show in the pictures, but it actually helps give a spot for metal to clear away from the edge while sharpeneing so I'm keeping it. - Zero grit contamination just like with all Sharpal Diamond Stones (Verified by famous knife sharpeners on YouTube) - The sheath is a perfect two stage strop, ifyou charge one side with a diamond paste and leave the other side bare (total of four sharpening stages) - Acts as a stiff paddle strop when you put the sheath on it. Superior to a flexible one for precision - The 1" width and slightly beveled edges 1/8" from the edge makes it ideal for sharpening all non-serrated edge profiles combared to large flat stones.(like the recurved edges of a Kukri) - The paracord wrapped handle gives you a 6ft utility line for emergencies... - Built in 20° angle guides at the base don't force you into only one sharpening angle, and help you with keeping angle consistency in the field (like when you're tired in a survival/camping situation, can't focus well, and need a sharp edge fast so you can just get back to it) - Cheap enough you could buy a spare, but expensive enough you won't be careless with keeping track of it. I have mine in my EDC and plan to buy a second one for my BugOut/GetHomeBag. I do professional sharpening as a service, and I could literally service most knives, scissors, and tools I would encounter out and about in the field, with just this sharpener, and feel confident in the edge durability relative the the steel of the tool being sharpened. I'm thoroughly impressed with this, amd plan to purchase the larger diamond stone from Sharpal as well. If your comparing sharpeners, of course go with what fits your needs/wants best. They put a metric TONNE of thought into designing this thing. Keep a flosstip toothbrush with it to clean the metal dust from the stone. You never need oil or water. In fact oil would gum it up, where using it dry with a brush it cleans up in seconds. One last thing, is the sheath leaves bits of leather on it until it gets broken in, so brush or wipe before use.
