Great bed for a great price!

What's not to love about this bed? It's versatile, can turn the lower section into a fort, play area, storage area, or bottom bunk. Got it for my 2.5 year old son and he loves it! My older daughter's were jealous but willing to hang out in his room now and even sleep with him. After reading the reviews, I made sure to meticulously read the manual, ensuring each part was there, and get a grasp of the layout. Although it took me 3 hours to assemble by myself due to my OCD, I didn't mind because I wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly and it was all done by hand. Power tools are forbidden! It didn't matter that every part isn't labeled because the manual provides clarity. I searched loads of options before choosing this bed and I'm happy I didn't act on impulse by getting the first nice looking one I saw. It fits perfectly in his room.

Once assembled, the bunk bed is a decent piece of furniture but it wasn't without a fight. 1. The tool given to assemble it is completely inadequate. The torque necessary to drive the wood screws is impossible to achieve with the tool. I'm thankful for the cordless drill my husband has. 2. The wood slates across the top are 1/4” too short! My husband made use of them but we really shouldn't have to “get creative” here. 3. Out of 16 pieces, only 4 of them actually had labels on them so we played “does this look right?” the rest of the time.
