LOVE this book!

I work in an inner city school, and it never fails that skin color is a big topic at some point. This book is perfect to talk to my students about the different shades of skin we see. It is great in helping them to feel comfortable in their own skin and loving who they are! They especially love reading this in big book format! We always follow up by mixing different shades of brown to find our own unique color! This is a MUST in any classroom!

The Color of Us

This book is beautifully illustrated, but even more importantly, it tells the story of a little girl that discovers that we are all very different even if we 'look the same.'
