Product details
I have always been the person that people go to when they want an honest answer. I have tried to give them answers that will help them. I have never turned away a person who needs my advice about any kind of problem from relationships to what kind of tea to buy in a grocery store. Since a lot of them were strangers I don't know how their lives turned out so I must say that I did the best I could with reasonable answers to their dilemmas. They may not like my answers but I always tell it the way I see it. From an early age if there was a dispute people would say let's go to Sarah she will know what to do. I was always the leader in the games. I was always the one who had the answers and could pick the best team members for games. If it had to do with their home life, friends, parents, or their animals they would come to me expecting answers. When I told them what I thought was the right answer and they had already made up their mind to do it their way, I never argued, I told them what I thought and never tried to convince them they were wrong. I found early on it doesn't help to argue with people about their life choices. I actually had a few people punch me when I told them what I thought was the right and only answer to their dilemma. My name is Sarah Honoree Bates. In elementary school my girlfriend said she was in love with one of our classmates. We were in third or fourth grade. I told her it wasn't love. Love will come later I told her. Much later, you are too young to know what love is. This is a schoolgirl crush I told her. I lost my best friend. She stayed connected with that boy until high school when he dumped her for the prom queen. It was too late to save our friendship. She hurt me badly when she wouldn't listen or heed my advice. I felt that he wasn't right for her. I heard that she met her one true love in college and married him. They have three children and he is a doctor. I also heard she is happy.I have a brother who never listened to my advice either. He married the wrong woman and ended up divorced at age 25. He had to start over; lucky for him they didn't have children. She was a loud mouth unkind person. I told him before they were married. He was too in love with her and couldn't see her for what she was. I certainly could. He was unhappy in that marriage from practically the first day. He should have listened to me. It would have saved a lot of heartache for both of them. There was a girl in one of my high school classes. She was sure she was in love with her boyfriend. We were only eighteen at the time. She turned up pregnant and she came to me for advice. I asked her what she wanted to do. She told me she wanted to marry him and have the baby. "Have you told him yet?" I asked."No I'm afraid he will leave me." She said and started crying."How long have you been with him? Have you told your parents about this yet?""We started dating in the ninth grade. You should remember you were there the day he asked me out on our first date." She was still crying but able to answer my questions."My solution is don't tell your parents first. Tell Gary and don't give him an ultimatum. Just tell him. Then close your mouth and leave him to ponder it. Don't get mad or sad in front of him just tell him." I smiled at her and told her to do as I said and it would all work out."I'm not sure I can do that I am really upset right now.""Just trust me and it will all be fine, calm down and go talk to him in a straight forward way. Men appreciate honesty and calm more than anything else."She trusted me and went out with him that night and told Gary she was pregnant at the end of their date. She told him that he probably wanted to be alone to ponder what he wanted to do. She didn't say what she wanted or add anything to her simple statement. Then she calmly walked into her house.
