Boules/Bocce Ball Set

Bottom line up front: EXCELLENT set; very fast shipping; great price. Looking for a replacement for my Italian style colored wooden bocce ball set, I ultimately came across this set. My old set had been used (abused? LOL) for over a decade and the bright colors (blue, green, red, and yellow) were fading. Enter this set. I ordered them, they arrived extremely quickly (four days ahead of schedule!), and it was instantly obvious that these are very good. The balls themselves are rather small and quite heavy. They come in a sturdy--not at all flimsy--green carrying case, and include what will be a very handy measuring tape that promises to prevent your competitive games from becoming violent :-) Now as for the Boules (large balls), Italian versions are painted various colors to differentiate between the teams. These are not. Instead they have four different grooving patterns. Some are straight lines, some are curvy; some have one line, some have two. So don't worry about telling them apart. Perhaps my favorite part of the set is the sound of the Boules colliding! The sound is much more substantial than the sound made by wooden ones. Congratulations, you have made it through my thoroughly exhausting review of the Boules/Bocce set from Walmart. This is a good quality set & a bargain for the money. I have been playing petanque for many years and wanted an inexpensive set for playing with guests in our back yard. This was exactly what I was looking for. Only bummer was that right after I ordered it, they lowered the price!
