This movement stool features a cushioned foam seat that provides added comfort while sitting. The curved rubberized base helps keep the stool upright on hard or carpeted surfaces. The seat height adjusts from 17.7" to 23.6" with the push of a button to accommodate a range of users; it requires a minimum of 105 lbs. to adjust the seat down. The active chair is designed for everyday use in a school, home, or office. These functional stools are a fun way to provide extra seating in any learning space. We bought one of these for our daughter to use at home, and we all used it and liked it so much that I bought a second one for myself to use at work. It's compact and has a small footprint, but has great height adjustability (works fine at an adult-sized workstation.) I used an Aeron chair for over 15 years and I'm never going back!
