good for aviation or art enrichment proj

Great outdoor project!! Need to add more alka seltzer than the directions call for,and make sure the stopper is in tight - shake it up prior to placing it in the cylinder. Can go up 2 stories high. However the paper cylinders and the cone paper are very temporary once they get wet. Use acetate instead of paper.

Blast-Off Rockets craft kit (pk/12)

This project was used as part of a cub scout day camp with a space theme. The small paint tubs were great. The pearl paint was a hit. The rockets did go up about 10 feet when warm water was used. I would suggest making a template for the students to use to make the nose cone for the rocket.
