Mixed review

I have mixed reviews about these placemats. Even tho I like the fabric, size and color, I was surprised at how thin they are. It's a single layer of fabric, stitched around the edges and has no thickness (batting) like most placemats. Doesn't seem like they'll protect my table when a hot dinner plate is placed on them. And, for the price, I thought they'd be of higher quality. I do like that they look handmade. Not sure if I will keep them.
