These were advertised as wool socks; they are only 14% wool, mostly acrylic. They seem like reasonable quality for every day play socks, but I was looking for warm wool. The price was good for wool, but more than I would pay for acrylic. The size is 9-11, which should correspond to US youth shoe size 4-7. They are a little small on my son, who is 8 and wears size 3 shoes, so I think these should really be size 7-9 (youth shoe size 12-2).
