This is how I feel and think about this comforter set. I was looking for a King size comforter in a specific purple coloring, that was not heavy and I could use all year round. This fit the bill! It's rare that I'm cold. If I'm a little chilly in the middle of the night I add a blanket (I also sleep with the window cracked open in the winter). This replaced a micro-down comforter and I really can't tell the difference!
