This is my first purchase of a vacuum device for food storage. The actual Pump-n-Seal unit feels solid and well very well built. I have tested it on one Bell Jar and the little yellow "Band-Aid" strip does its job. Less expensive options are available, but I am glad I choose this brand.

A Very Powerful Vaccum Sealer
The pump and seal was delivered quickly and as expected. Historically, we had used an electric vacuum sealer to preserve meats and produce bought from big Costco trips. The countertop sealer is huge and takes up a ton of space. This little pump does the same job and can be stored with other kitchen utensils in a drawer. We love it. The other benefit is that this should work for canning while I don't think the electric sealer would have been able to do that. We are very pleased with the purchase. My only concern is that we will run out of the yellow tabs used for sealing as it only came with 100.
