Worth having

Best book for comparing and getting exact ID. I use another book, organized by color to narrow it down first, then look up e.g. "sparrow" in Peterson's and get all the sparrows to look at. Not that great when you look at a bird, note the features, and now want to find it. I have spent a long time flipping pages when I have no idea where to start. But this is the only really comprehensive, complete book with many pictures.
