The fan I received looks like the picture, but it necessitated a 5V battery, which I had to get at a vape shop, as the local battery supply store didn't carry the appropriate one. The battery (which cost more than the fan) didn't last long, so I trashed the fan. Not sure why the ad has a cord in it...
