Daily Feeding Guide: Weight of Cat: 4 lb (1.8 kg): 3/8 cup (35 grams). 5 lb (2.3 kg): 1/2 cup (45 grams). 8 lb (3.6 kg): 2/3 cup (60 grams). 10 lb (4.5 kg): 3/4 cup (65 grams). 12 lb (5.4 kg): 7/8 cup (75 grams). 14 lb (6.4 kg): 1 cup (90 grams). 16 lb (7.3 kg): 1-1/8 cups (100 grams). Adjust feeding amounts as necessary to maintain optimal weight. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian. New to this food? Please transition your pet. Your pet's nutritional needs may change as they age. Ask your vet at every checkup. Science Diet is available in a wide variety of dry and wet foods for your pet's unique needs. My daughter found this dry food for her long haired cat to reduce coughing up hairballs. Since starting this food, my little princess hasn't had as many instances of hairballs either. The carpet thanks me! And she loves it. I provide small servings so the food does not sit out long. I'm amazed how it disappears when it seems I'm not looking!

I switched to Hills urinary care cat food because one of my cats has crystals in his bladder and painful urination. To prevent these crystals from turning into stones my Vet switched to Hills u/c cat food. It's been about 3 weeks and I've noticed a big change in my cat. He is eating and feeling better. Also Walmart had the best price for a 7lb bag.
