Economical replacement NiMH battery packs

I bought this 5 pack of NiMH battery replacements for our cordless phones. The older packs were rated for 500maH. These new packs are rated for 1000maH. They are the same overall dimensions and style. Connectors are the same. They're a direct replacement for my older battery packs. We have 3 cordless phones, so this 5 pack was ideal for our needs. The new pack charged up just fine overnight. So far, the new pack is performing fine. We'll see how long they last during an extended conversation at max speaker volume. My older packs didn't hold a charge very long, so it was time for replacing them. The price was right. I'm not sure if these new packs are really twice the power capability, we'll find out. It's difficult to believe they have 2 times the amp hour rating in the exact same size and same technology. Time will tell. At the price paid, as long as I can get a year or two of performance, it's worth it.
