Columbia Girls' Mighty Mogul II Jacket

My daughter absolutely loves this jacket. We walk to school in the snow and she is always warm and dry, even after a quick stop to make a snow angel. I love that it keeps her warm without being bulky, she has room for layers but hasn't needed them yet, even in 19° weather. The length is perfect!

I bought two of these coats, one for my daughter and one for my son. The quality looks great. Although, I don't understand why the girls sleeve has some fleece by the cuff but the boys doesn't. I would have appreciated my son to have the same. Anyway, size wise, it was gigantic. I had to return and size down. They really liked the coats though and my daughter was dying to get out of it after a couple minutes because she was so warm. I have a feeling this coat will be great for our winters and the snow. I loved all the pockets, and some were deep pockets! I also love the fleece lined hood and a very deep hood. We don't really do any snow sports so no need for a. helmet but I would say this will definitely accommodate a helmet. My kids do play in the snow quite a bit and hoods have always. been an issue going over hats. I have to say, this is based mostly on initial impressions and sizing. We aren't in winter so I haven't had them test it truly but based on experience from past coats, this is a definite upgrade for us. Fingers crossed we can use these coats for a couple winters.
