Product details
The Early Wonder Camellia is a stunning new variety from the Southern Living Plant Collection! Camellia japonica shrubs are known for having huge, beautiful pink blooms in Winter and early Spring. The Early Wonder is a Japonica Camellia that brings those fantastic flowers much earlier in the season! It flowers in Fall when normally only Camellia sasanqua varieties are blooming. This is perfect for gardeners who often have their late-season japonica blooms destroyed by harsh winter freezes. This beauty reaches 6-8 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide at maturity. Therefore, it's perfect for a privacy screen, specimen, accent, or foundation planting. It's hardy from USDA Zones 7-9 and grows best in Partial sun. Water your new camellia plantings 2-3 times per week for the first growing season. Plant in slightly acidic, rich soil with good drainage. These plants are well-established in 2.5 Quart pots and are not guaranteed to be in bloom upon arrival. They will be approximately 7-14 inches tall when shipped.

Fabulous in February!
I ordered two plants and they both arrived in great condition. No shipping trauma, as they were packed with great care. They are larger than I expected and extremely healthy. I worried about having them shipped in extreme winter conditions, but it might as well have been spring here in NC. Pure perfection! I would totally order again from Southern Living.
