Inside the box was a note saying they had put 30 extra leads in case of breakage during shipping, which I thought was very thoughtful. The price was really good for the amount of lead you get. They are just as duable as the expensive leads.

B grade graphite sticks are softer, leave darker marks, and are easier to brake. H grade graphite sticks are harder, leave lighter marks, and are harder to brake. Most mechanical pencils come with HB sticks in them, which falls between the two. Some folks will try to warn you that these graphite sticks brake easily. This is technically true, but is not some defect on the manufacture's part. It is simply down to the fact that these are 2b hardness as apposed to the HB hardness most people are used too. If you are prone to braking your pencil tips a lot, this same manufacture also sells HBs and 2Hs on this site for the same price, but has each hardness under its own listing. Which you would want depends on how heavily you press when writing. If you can use a "normal pencil" without braking the tip, you likely want HBs, if those brake a lot for you too, it likely means you have a heavy hand, in which case try the H2s. If those brake too, there are higher levels, but sadly not in such a good deal as these.
