It interacts with target insects’ digestive enzymes to activate the active ingredient indoxacarb once ingested, leaving non-target organisms largely unaffected. Indoxacarb delays mortality and encourages feeding activity among worker ants, who then carry the bait back to the colony. The bait is quickly passed to other ants within the nest via horizontal transfer, including the queen and larvae, for complete colony control.
