I liked this floor lamp because it fits easily into a corner but especially because it has a "step on " switch. I don't have to try and feel around for a turn on switch, just being able to tap the switch with my foot was wonderful. I did replace the blub that arrived with the lamp, it was dull and I needed more light. I am very pleased with this item and would order for other rooms in my home.

The accembly was tricky, did not use directions thought. gently but firmly pressing the single metal circle into clips on velcro closure lamp shade, then attach multi shaped metal attachment. then attach the multi shaped side of shade to lap itself. the twisty thing tightens the lamp shade to the lamp then you have to carefully slid your arm with bulb in hand down inside of lamp shade to screw it in to socket (took me a minute to figure it out). the on /off button on the floor is wonderful. lighting is perfect for small size room. love it.
