It definitely helps the recovery process.
I had surgery a few weeks ago and I've been using it since I got home. After browsing others, I decided to go with this one because it offered what I was looking for. It has 2 pockets on each side easy to reach where I keep my lip balm and such. It is firm enough to hold my leg in place all day while recovering in bed but the fabric is soft enough on the skin, breathable and washable. It has a small long removable pillow that allows you to decide whether to use the dip/trench (?) feature on the top or not. It also has velcro on both sides. It gives you the option to remove the second level at the bottom so it makes it dip down at the front (almost like a kind of triangle ?) where the leg goes to a point and then down. The 2nd level makes it to where the leg stays straight. It makes me think of those at home car ramps lol when I use the 2nd level. I will say I do prefer it with the 2nd level because of the type of surgery I had. I seriously and highly recommend it if having surgery.
