Great conclusion to an epic coming of age tale!

Battle Cry 2 Shadow of the Sword is the second book in the two volume Battle Cry series by JL Snyder. The conclusion to this epic tale definitely doesn't disappoint. Kai-Ling's training is now complete and her skills as a samurai warrior are on full display in this volume. Yet, she is still a teenager and throughout her journey she deals with teenage issues. In addition, Kai-Ling must overcome the many obstacles and challenges that arise on her way to avenging her father's death. The story is full of action, adventure, and the unexpected. The author's unique style of storytelling is vivid and intense. As in the first volume, the artwork is strategically placed throughout the book and adds a comic book/Manga element to the story. I look forward to reading more of JL Snyder's books. Awesome hardback edition.
