Sterilization wraps work by permitting the sterilizing agent (steam, ethylene oxide or hydrogen peroxide) to penetrate; they then work as a barrier to maintain sterility of the wrapped surgical instruments. This particular sterilization wrap works well for heavy instrument sets, retractors and sets where frequent handling occurs.
