Pacifica Island Art uses an environmentally-friendly Unryu Japanese rice paper made by the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan. Unryu, which translates to 'cloud dragon paper' in Japanese, features long strands of kozo fiber and is made from natural mulberry and hemp fibers using traditional Japanese Washi techniques - ABOUT THE ARTIST - Louis-Amédée Mante - Louis-Amédée Mante (1826-1913) was a French photographer, self taught chemist and inventor at Paris. He developed a new technique for photographic prints, the so called 'Mantochromes', for which he received a patent. So most of his postcards show the signature A M Patent.
