Pacifica Island Art uses an environmentally-friendly Unryu Japanese rice paper made by the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan. Unryu, which translates to 'cloud dragon paper' in Japanese, features long strands of kozo fiber and is made from natural mulberry and hemp fibers using traditional Japanese Washi techniques - ABOUT THE ARTIST - Vincenzo Alicandri - Vincenzo Alicandri (1871-1955) Painter, graphic artist and film poster designer. Around the late nineteenth century was Alicandri in Pescara in study of Basilio Cascella, with whom he had established a fruitful artistic collaboration that result in the creation of an establishment litho. The lithographic activity, practiced by the entire circle cascelliana basically as a source of income, it became the expression of a particular conception of art, which led its exponents, including precisely the Cascella and Alicandri, to be involved in the debate that characterized the end of century on the artistic value of such products inside the world of painting and of photography.
