Pacifica Island Art uses an environmentally-friendly Unryu Japanese rice paper made by the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan. Unryu, which translates to 'cloud dragon paper' in Japanese, features long strands of kozo fiber and is made from natural mulberry and hemp fibers using traditional Japanese Washi techniques - ABOUT THE ARTIST - Sergio Franciscone - SERGIO FRANCISCONE (1912-?) Franciscone entered an Italian ad industry which was in full swing and worked with some of Milan, Florence and Turin's top companies. His most famous work was the 1939 poster for Rabarbaro Zucca - the Italian digestif - still in use today. Franciscone was also co-founder of the ULTRA ad agency.
