These are almost the same price per item as the value pack but the quality is significantly higher. The fit is full coverage around the leg and high waisted. The seams are not scratchy and very stretchy. We got a size M 7/8 for my average sized 7, almost 8 year old and they are perfect on her waist (not falling down but not stretched/snug) with a little room in the leg. That's a great fit for this style because they're very stretchy so she'll have some room to stretch in the waist and grow into the leg. I do worry with this type of material (almost swimsuit material) that the won't hold up in the dryer but my kids usually out grow things before we use them out anyways. Overall very impressed at quality and especially quality to cost ratio. We will probably switch to these permanently
