They will perfectly accent any kitchen, home, Tiki bar, pub, game room, office or garage. - ABOUT THE ARTIST - Thomas (Tom) Hall - Thomas (Tom) Hall (1885-1972) Canadian commercial artist and illustrator was born in Hemsworth, Yorkshire, England and came to Canada in 1907 to work for Sam Tilden of Mortimer Co. Ltd. (same Sam Tilden that initiated the Rent a Car business). A member of the Mortimer team, Tom Halls commercial works included posters, calendars and magazine cover work for numerous quintessential Canadian companies. In the 1930s Tom Hall was one of the key artists for Canadian Pacific poster design work that emphasized Canadian Pacifics (CP) vacation packages in Canada and around the world. His 1938 grizzly poster for CP won him the Transit Advertisers award for finest poster in the travel division. During the 50 and 60s, he spent a great deal of time teaching others to paint and he was commissioned to painting many of Montreal's prominent families and Canadian businessmen. Tom Hall continued to paint until two weeks prior to his death at the age of 87.
