so close and almost perfect

Normally I always go for wide calf boots and am around 15-16" circumference. But for an 8.5 size there is a lot of space in the shaft so I presume it went up almost 1" from the size 6/16.3" measurements in the description. Normally I would welcome the extra roominess but the top of the boot flares out pretty comically and I just dont think I can make that work. Will see how the regular shaft version works out. Otherwise the heel height is comfortable, appreciate the extra padding and arch support is decent. Leather quality is ok, not the worst I've seen and certainly not the best either. Fingers crossed they won't send me a version with gold tone hardware. That would be a dealbreaker.

Very Uncomfortable

The calf was a lot wider than most wide calf boots. It was way too wide for me. There was too much room in the ankles but the toe was tight. Very uncomfortable and I returned them.
