One of the Best Star Wars Books Ever!

I am always on the look out for a Star Wars book that is appropriate for children. Some of them are really only for adults, and in my opinion, children just don't need a lot of that grown up stuff in their heads. This book, Rogue Planet by Greg Bear, is one of the best that I've seen. It doesn't have foul language, or adults only scenes, and the violence is kept to a medium tone. There is nothing too horribly graphic, and nothing that a reasonable parent would object to. I also want to point out that this book reads well for adults too. It's not just a 'kids' book, and I think that is what makes it such a good read. In it, Anakin is a young boy who is in the middle of his Jedi training with Obi Wan Kenobi. This takes place around 3 years after Phantom Menace, and really fills in some much needed content during this gap. I definitely recommend this book and author for any Star Wars fan. May the Force be with you!

This novel is a catch for those who are looking to read about the multi-layered relationship between young Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, I feel the author focuses too much on the darkness of Anakin, so much that it takes away from the story. Other than that, it is a good read.
