Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have; Cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus). Cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Only cough medicine I can take because of other medications I'm on. Doesn't taste too bad and comes with measuring cup. I don't like that it is such a dark dye color. Hard to get it out of fabric if I drip it accidentally. Also , when home delivered, have to sign for it. My age should be in my profile (64) and shouldn't have to be home for delivery. All the other items should be delivered then.

The gold standard for stopping a cough quickly
Robitussin DM is the gold standard for cough. Recommended by every doctor I've ever seen, including many PCPs, two allergists and one critical care doctor. If you really want to treat a cough as effectively as possible, this is what you want to use (and don't skip the DM part of title -- it matters that you use this version). Thrilled that Walmart carries it. Just ordered this for an nth time after needing it yesterday but finding it missing from the first aid cabinet. I don't ever want to be without this again.

I have tried the generic version and this cough syrup works much better. It is a little thicker so its better when coating my throat. The taste is typical cough syrup taste but not horrid. This helps my cough longer and quicker than any other brand. You spend more but it is worth it! Because this is a little stronger, I do feel a little drowsy. However, I can still go along with my day and drive.
