For more than 20 years his covers were used for the Sunday World magazine section. His dry brush drawings were syndicated nationally. At age 14, he went from New York to Copenhagen, where he attended the Public Arts Institute, and then back in the United States, he became a student in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
